Anahita and Apoorva are among the most sought-after artistes in the Indian Carnatic classical music world. Known for their seamless synchrony and emotional depth, they have performed across India and internationally, captivating both connoisseurs and new-age audience alike. They began their training under their grandmother Smt. Shanthi Jayaraman and further advanced under Sangeet Samrat Chitravina N Ravikiran, and Acharya Ratnakara Chitravina Shri Narasimhan.
Child prodigies and award-winners from the age of 6, they are recipients of the CCRT Scholarship (Govt. of India) and the MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship from Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai. Their AIR National Programme in 2025 recorded one of the highest listenerships in recent years. With over 1 million views across digital platforms, their content, ranging from popular compositions to lesser-known gems, has reached global audiences. As producers, researchers, and educators, their body of work includes captivating audio and video productions, music therapy explorations, and music rooted in tradition and scholarship.
They have worked and shared stage with cultural icons such as Pt. Birju Maharaj, Dr. Vyjayanthimala Bali, Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar, Dr. Leela Samson, Smt. Sudha Ragunathan, Dr. Narthaki Nataraj and their collaborative concerts with Shri U Ve Dushyanth Sridhar have been critically acclaimed for taking Indian culture and scripture-based music to houseful audience worldwide. They have toured extensively across India, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the UAE, and are passionate teachers with students across the globe, many of whom are performers themselves.
Featured regularly on TV, YouTube, and Radio, they are the youngest artistes to perform for the Armed Forces and the only Indian classical musicians to have collaborated with the Indian Air Force Symphony (AWSO).
As TEDx speakers and GCMA CAR Ambassadors, Anahita & Apoorva are committed to nurturing the next generation of rasikas while innovating within the classical tradition. While Anahita is adept in playing Chitravina, Apoorva is a Violinist.
